Academic Preparation
The Department of Academic Preparation (formerly the Department of Developmental Studies) addresses the needs of entering students whose reading, writing, math or language skills need strengthening. The department provides the following credit courses:
- Introduction to Basic Writing
- Basic Writing
- English Writing Skills
- Basic Reading
- Basic Reading Lab
- College Reading
- Basic Math
- Basic Algebra I
- Basic Algebra II
- All courses in the English as a Second Language (ESL) sequence
- All English Language courses for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing
- College Success Seminar
