Developed in cooperation with the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, NECC’s Law Enforcement Certificate will prepare you for a career in law enforcement. The certificate combines specialized criminal justice and general education coursework to provide you with the knowledge and skills you will need to successfully enter the field. You will learn about community policing, police discretion, police ethics and corruption, issues of police leadership and management, patrol requirements, professionalism and other related topics. All of the credits earned in the certificate program can be applied to a Quinn Bill eligible associate in science degree in criminal justice.

Graduates will be able to pursue many career paths. You could work as a police officer in municipal police department or as a state trooper. You may also choose to directly transfer the credits earned in this certificate toward NECC’s Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.
