Would you like a career where you can use your artistic ability and your eye for detail? Then NECC’s associate degree in graphic design is for you.
NECC’s Associate Degree in Graphic Design provides you with the skills used in design, layout, reproduction, advertising, and other graphic arts professions. You will develop an understanding of the basic design principles, and learn elements of clear and effective communication using type and image through traditional and computer media. You will also gain skills in Photoshop, computer illustration, basic page layout programs, and web design.
Graduates will be able to pursue many career paths, and could work at ad agencies, design firms, publishers, corporations, computer design firms, government agencies, and higher education. With additional skills in animation and web design, you could be employed as a designer for interactive media such as websites, cell phones, video games and other interactive media. You will also be prepared to transfer to a four-year college or university or art school.
