If you would like to combine your creativity with computer technology, a career in multimedia could be for you. If you are artistic and imaginative, possess strong computer skills, are adaptable and collaborative, and are a clear communicator, you have the qualities essential for a successful career in multi-media.

NECC’s Associate Degree in General Studies: Multimedia Option provides you with the skills needed in web development, media production (video and audio production) and computer graphics. You will learn computer animation, computer illustration, and Photoshop. You will also be able to specialize in a field of interest such as graphic design, music, TV production and photography.

Graduates will be able to pursue many career paths, and could work as web developers, multimedia designers, animators, and software designers. You could develop special effects for websites, video, film, cell phones, video games and other interactive media. You will also be prepared to transfer to a four-year college or university or art school.
