In addition, through education-related classes, you will integrate theory and practice, acquire knowledge of child growth and development, and develop sensitivity to and appreciation for the wide diversity of children in our public schools today. Graduates will be able to pursue a number of career paths. Upon completion of the program, you can seek employment as a paraprofessional (teaching assistant). You may also choose to transfer to a bachelor’s program to become qualified to seek employment as a licensed teacher.
Northern Essex offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students of all fields. If you would like to get involved, consider joining one of the college’s many clubs and organizations. You can also take advantage of numerous career workshops to help you succeed in college and in your career.
