With a degree in general studies, you can develop academic skills and take foundation courses that can transfer into a variety of areas. You can complete your first two years at Northern Essex and then transfer to a four-year school.

At NECC, general studies degrees are offered in: general studies, dance, multi-media, music, and visual arts. The general studies program also features a transfer only program in Fire Science that is a joint venture with North Shore Community College’s Associate Degree in Fire Protection and Safety Technology.
