Are you seeking a career as a firefighter? Are you already a firefighter an interested in career advancement? Then NECC’s General Studies: Fire Science Transfer Option could be for you.

The General Studies: Fire Science Transfer Option is a joint venture with North Shore Community College’s Associate Degree in Fire Protection and Safety Technology. This option will provide students the opportunity to complete the core of their transfer requirements at Northern Essex, and then transfer them to North Shore Community College for the completion of their degree. You may also elect to take the appropriate courses needed to transfer to Salem State’s Bachelor of Science Fire Science Administration once you complete the North Shore program. A maximum of 30 credits can be taken for transfer to North Shore.

Because of the specialized nature of this transfer only program, students must see only the advisor to whom they are assigned in order to choose the correct courses to fulfill all elective requirements.
