Nursing Advanced Placement: LPN to RN

nursing studentsIf you are interested in pursuing an associate degree in nursing and you are already a licensed practical nurse in Massachusetts, then our Nursing: Advanced Placement Option: LPN to RN is a great opportunity for you. Each fall, we accept students who will follow a curriculum that can be completed in two semesters.

NECC offers LPNs an advanced placement option by allowing applicants to enter the second year of the Associate Degree in Nursing Program. Applicants must hold current licensure as an LPN in Massachusetts and have worked during the last three years.

Candidates must meet admission requirements and apply by the deadline. Students selected for the Advanced Placement will complete a one credit Nursing Transition Course during the summer before entry into the option. Once this course is completed, the student will be given credit for all the first year nursing courses.

Advanced placement option is available in the current day program.
