The Phlebotomy Certificate will not be offered after the Fall 2013 semester

The Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program prepares gradates for employment as entry level Phlebotomy Technicians. The program is presented through a series of lecture, laboratory, and externship experiences. Graduates are eligible to take the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) examination via the Route 2 eligibility process and the National Healthcare Association Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) examination. Students must earn a “C” or better in all HES courses in order to graduate. A total of 18 credit hours are required for graduation.

Students interested in participation in this academic program may be required to undergo a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, a Criminal Records Central Repository (CHRI) check and/or a Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) check. Drug Screening:

Students enrolled in this academic program may be required to pass a drug screening analysis.
