Program Notes

Effective through Fall 2013

Students considering a career as a radiologic technologist must be able to integrate a scientific knowledge (e.g., mathematics, physics, human anatomy) and technical skills to produce images that assist the radiologist with establishing a patient’s diagnosis and treatment. Success in this profession will require the physical ability to lift and move patients, good interpersonal and communication skills, and basic knowledge of computers.

Helpful Hints

To be successful in this program, students must have a strong background in math and science. Because of the time required to complete classroom, lab, and clinical assignments, some students find it helpful to complete at least some of the general education courses before beginning the career courses in radiologic technology.
