If you are like math and science, are interested in the study of the world, and want to gain a strong science and liberal arts base before transferring to a four-year school, a degree in physical sciences could be for you.

By completing NECC’s associate in arts degree in Physical Sciences you will gain a solid foundation in liberal arts including critical reading, critical thinking, research, and communications. This program also takes into account the general science and mathematics courses required for transfer to many colleges/universities, and offers guidance in course selection if you are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a physical science. The program has two concentrations to choose from - Chemistry/Physics or Earth Science.

Graduates will be able to pursue many career paths, and may find work in research and development, meteorology, education, the environmental sector and more. Most jobs require a four-year bachelor degree.
