NECC’s Associate Degree in Electronic Technology: Computer Systems Option will provide you with the skills necessary to install, configure, and manage hardware and software used in local area networks (LAN). A strong foundation in analog electronics is combined with courses emphasizing digital and computer applications. You will also gain knowledge of wide area networks (WAN), firewalls, and wireless networking. To meet the needs of the majority of students who enroll in the Electronic Technology: Computer Systems Program who work during the day, this program is offered evenings.
Graduates will be able to pursue many career paths. You may choose to transfer on to a bachelor’s program, or directly enter the work force. If you choose to directly enter the workforce, You could work for large corporations, small businesses, colleges and universities, schools, non-profit and government agencies, or other professional office settings. Sample job titles include network administrator, computer technician, computer operator, and more.
