If you are interested in a career in manufacturing and are detail-oriented with strong analytic and problem-solving skills, this program is for you.Advanced Precision Machining student.

NECC’s Associate Degree in Advanced Manufacturing — Precision Machining will introduce you to the principles, analysis, and equipment used in today’s highly sophisticated companies. The hands-on curriculum will prepare you for a well-paying career in an advanced manufacturing environment, and also prepare you to transfer credits to a four-year school or university, possibly earning a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the program can pursue work as machinists, technicians, engineering assistants, and manufacturing specialists for engineering and manufacturing companies that specialize in design, development, manufacturing, and service.

Getting Started

Ready to get started? It’s easy! Northern Essex has an open admissions policy, which means that if you have a high school diploma or GED/HiSet or other state-approved equivalency credential, you are eligible to enroll at NECC. Just fill out an application, attend an orientation/assessment session, and then register for classes.
