Web Design & Web Hosting
WEB DESIGN CERTIFICATE
This program will introduce participants to the development of a web site, including planning, design and construction, and enhancement. To earn a certificate in Web Design, candidates must complete the following five courses: Basics of Web Site Design using HTML and CSS, Dreamweaver Basics, Advanced Dreamweaver, Flash Animation, and Photoshop Techniques for the Web. Software used will include Microsoft Windows, a text editor such as Notepad, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Creative Suite running in a Windows Operating System will be used in the lab. Prerequisites: Basic Window skills, word processing experience, computer file management basics and familiarity with Internet services such as e-mail and Web browsing. Note: While all of the software used in the computer lab is Windows based, Macintosh users are welcome. The Mac versions of the software are similar enough that there should be no issues, as long as a participant is familiar with the basics of the Mac Operating System.
Instructor: Jay Partlan, has taught credit and non-credit courses at UNH, Granite State College, Northern Essex Community College, New Hampshire Community Technical College and Newbury College
