Holiday Table Garden             NEW!!!                         

Plant a fragrant and festive garden for holiday decoration.  Combine chartreuse, lemon-scented cypress with small evergreens, trailing ivies, white flowering plants and club moss in an attractive container.  Use for your own home or as a great holiday gift.    $49 materials fee paid in class.

Open Top Terrarium                                                                          

Your own Garden in a bowl will give you many months of pleasure…Learn how to plant and maintain your terrarium.  Create yours by planting a colorful selection of slow-growing plants in an 8 inch bubble bowl and finish your garden with decorative accents of polished stones and mossy branches. $39 materials fee paid in class.

Spring Table Garden   

Plant a colorful spring garden to grow indoors while you are waiting for the outdoors to bloom.  You will create an arrangement of flowering spring plants in a basket using cyclamen, tulips, primrose, daffodils, lacy ferns, ivies.  When summer arrives you can transplant all of them to your garden to enjoy them all summer.  $42 materials fee paid in class.

Flower Arranging, Plain and Simple                NEW! 

Fresh flowers arrangements brighten both our living spaces and our spirits.  Come create 2 of your own country style bouquet arrangements for your home quickly and without breaking your budget.  In making these you will learn how to buy or pick and then condition plant material. Plant materials can include roses, stock, larkspur, delphinium, hydrangea, lilies, mums, asters and more. Also use fresh cut herbs and local greens. $49 materials fee paid in class.

Fairy House and Garden in a Basket  

Are there fairies at the bottom of your garden?  Possibly, but even if there aren’t, it is great fun to pretend!  Using bark, leaves, twigs, and other natural materials, you will create a little home that any fairy would be pleased to move into.  Once the house is built, the landscaping can begin: layout paths, design a garden, and put in a pond.  The construction site is a basket that is easily carried home. $32 materials fee paid in class.

Herbs for the Kitchen: How to Grow and Use Them

Make the simplest meals come alive using herbs. Learn how and where to grow herbs, how to use them fresh from the garden and also when and how to preserve them for winter cooking. $22 materials fee paid in class covers informational sheets on herb growning, & Betsy’s book, Mrs Thrift’s Cupboard, a collection of tried & true herb recipes. At the end of class a condiment tasting!

Herbs – From Your Porch to Your Dinner Table

Nothing enhances a meal like the taste of fresh herbs. Grow your own on a sunny porch or doorstep!  Culinary herbs thrive in containers & window boxes.  Plant 6 culinary herbs in a 12” pot.  Herb choices include rosemary, several varieties of basil, chives, sage thyme parsley, scented geranium and savory as well as edible flowers such as miniature roses and tiny marigolds.   $42 materials fee paid in class.

Grow Your Own Vegetables…In Containers!!!!

Wouldn’t you like to grow your own vegetable and be able to pick you own beans for supper and greens for a salad? The list of veggies that can thrive in contained spaces is long and you will learn how to plant, care for, and harvest your favorites.  You will create your own vegetable garden in a 14”  pot.  $40 materials fee paid in class.
