 This lively workshop is designed for anyone just getting started and/or for those who want to become better writers.  We’ll explore professional writing opportunities available in today’s economy, look at a variety of writing styles including opinion pieces, columns, sports commentary, crime and feature stories and memoirs, plus explore the influence of new social media, Facebook, Twitter and blogging.  Good writers are also good readers so we’ll look at different writers who will inspire your own improved work.  Class includes visits and tips from published authors, reporters and bloggers who will share their own experiences and love of writing.
