American Sign Language at Work: Intro Level (NEW!)

This course will help those new to American Sign Language develop linguistic skills to communicate effectively with deaf or hard of hearing customers/co-workers in various workplaces. You’ll also learn about American Deaf culture, accommodation materials for deaf and hard of hearing people, requesting appropriate people to facilitate between hearing people and deaf/hard of hearing people, and the use of alternative approaches to communicate with deaf and hard of hearing people.

Introduction to Arabic*

Learn standard Arabic. Class will combine speaking with some reading and writing. Start learning the alphabet, numbers, and basic vocabulary and most common verbs.

Introduction to French

Course will combine conversation skills with some reading and writing. Start with the alphabet, numbers, pronouns, and the most frequently used verbs. Oral expression will be strongly encouraged as well as oral comprehension through listening to tapes in class.

Beginner Conversational Italian

Are you planning a trip to Italy, have Italian relatives that you want to converse with or perhaps you just want to learn a new language? Learn grammar, parts of speech, and focus on speaking.
