Learn the basic skills needed to be a bartender, including essential techniques, popular shaken and stirred drinks, beer, wine, garnishes, and glassware use. On-the-job problem solving and customer service basics will be discussed. The ServSafe Alcohol Certification exam will be given in class. Must be 18 years or over to take class.

Please note: The bartending program includes both of the following modules:

  1. ServSafe Alcohol Awareness Certification: Weeks 1–2 will be a classroom session at Riverwalk. The certification test will be in Week 2.
  2. Fundamentals of Mixology: Weeks 3–6 will be hands-on classes will be held at Reggie’s Cafe at the Greater Lawrence Technical School.

Course Information

Dates/Time: Monday, 6:00 to 8:30 pm, 6 weeks, 9/12-10/24 (no class 10/10)

Location: Weeks 1–2 are at Riverwalk. Weeks 3–6 are held at Reggie’s Cafe at the Greater Lawrence Technical School.

Cost: $295 + $39 materials fee for ServSafe Test and book and mixology materials

Bartending: ServSafe Alcohol Re-Certification – NEW!

This two-week course is designed for those who are working in the bartending industry and are in need of ServSafe Alcohol Awareness Re-Certification. The certification test will take place on week 2 of the course.
