- General Studies: towards Health programs
- English Courses for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

- Any Human Service program
- Any Deaf Studies program
- Any Paralegal program

Apply for Financial Aid Online
Financial Assistance is available to help you finance your education. Your
first step in the Financial Aid process is to apply for a
PIN at
www.pin.ed.gov. Your
second step is to complete a
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at
www.fafsa.ed.gov. When completing the FAFSA online, be sure to list Northern Essex Community College in the “schools information section.” NECC’s code is
002174. Once NECC has received your FAFSA, you will be notified of any additional requirements.

No appointment is necessary to register for classes. Drop by the One-Stop in Haverhill or Lawrence and an advisor can help you develop an academic plan and register for your classes.
Pay Your Bill Online
Students must pay their tuition by the
due date to avoid being dropped from your classes for non-payment. Use the
new online, 24/7 service that allows students to receive online billing with automatic email alerts.
Payment options include:
Pay in full, using cash, check or charge card (MasterCard or Visa);
Telephone in your payment, with a credit card (MasterCard or VISA) by calling the
Bursar’s Office at
978.556.3900;
Use the NECC 4-month installment plan, Pay 1/4 (25%) of your bill plus a $35 non-refundable fee before the due date of your bill.
Access myNECC for Self-Service and Email
After you register for classes, most correspondence from NECC will be sent to your NECC email account. Please be sure to check your
NECC email and
Self-Service regularly. Self Service allows students to check their Financial Aid Status, Register for Classes, Submit the Health Insurance Waiver, View their Bill, Print a Schedule, Access DegreeWorks and your Academic Plans.
Secure Health Insurance: A State Requirement
Every student enrolled in 9 or more credits must show proof of being covered by health insurance by completing the
online health insurance waiver. If you do not waive the coverage, it must be purchased from NECC.
Get Your Student ID Card
Make sure you get your Student photo ID card so you can access computer labs, take materials out of the
Library, receive discounts at local merchants and more. College Photo ID Cards are provided to new NECC students and stickers are given to current students each semester for their existing ID Cards. You can get an ID card or a sticker in the
Student Engagement Center, D-117,

Attend New Student Orientation
Our goal is to help new students get acquainted with NECC,
college life and ensure that each student leaves with everything they will need to be a successful student through our
New Student Orientation Program. All new students registered for six credits or more are
required to attend this 4-hour Introduction to Northern Essex Community College.
Submit Immunization Requirement Form
Proof of immunization is required for: 1) all full-time undergraduate students; 2) all full-time and parttime health science students; and 3) any full-time or part-time student attending a post-secondary institution while on a student or other visa, including foreign students attending or visiting classes as part of a formal academic visitation exchange program.
