Travel with Professor Yarborough for a 10 day experience of Ireland and earn 3 credits by taking a Literature course! This course will meet 4 Saturdays during the Fall 2017 term and will focus on Irish literature. Read about some of the places you will visit on this trip through poems, essays, short stories and novels and get a feel for aspects of culture, history politics and national identity.

Course: 

Literature 275 – International Experience in Literature – 3 credits

(fulfills humanities, liberal arts, literature or free elective option) 

Travel Dates: 

January 4 – 14, 2018

Saturday Class Meetings: 

November 4, November 18, December 2, December 16

Trip Cost: 

$3,500 plus the cost of tuition – includes all in-country costs (airfare, housing, transportation, meal allowances, etc).

Morocco

Travel to Morocco with Professor Arford and visit the best of the country’s attractions from Casablanca to Marrakech. Travel from the snow-capped Atlas Mountains to the endless sands of the Sahara, and from the medieval old town of Fes to the spice markets of Marrakech, the rich history and natural beauty of Morocco await. Observe the vibrant collision between old and new expressed in architecture and artwork. Learn about fallen cities and cross paths with nomadic tribes. Jump in and discover the many mysteries and legends concealed within this moody, ever-changing landscape.

Course: 

Cultural Anthropology 101 – International Experience in Cultural Anthropology- 3 credits

(fulfills behavioral science, liberal arts, social science or free elective)

$3,500 plus the cost of tuition – includes all in-country costs (airfare, housing, transportation, meal allowances, etc).

Florence

Spend three weeks in Florence, Italy while earning credits from Florence University of the Arts and NECC! 

Semester: 

Spring 2018

Course: 

Take one course offered by Florence University of the Arts (courses will be announced soon) and one NECC offered course below: 

SCI 110 – Global Discoveries in Science – 4 credits

(fulfills liberal arts, free elective option)

ART 107 – International Art Experience: Art History – 3 credits

(fulfills fine/performing arts, humanities, liberal arts or free elective option)

June 3 – 22, 2018

$5,500 plus the cost of tuition – includes all in-country costs (airfare, housing, transportation, meal allowances, etc).
