All entering students are required to take a one hour Writing Sample Assessment test in order to determine appropriate placement in our freshmen composition program.

A student may be advised to begin with English Composition I, Basic Writing, or English As a Second Language, depending upon his or her skills and fluency.

Assessment recommendations are mandatory for most programs.
