For Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services

The office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services is responsible for the provision of services and approval of accommodations for enrolled students who are deaf or hard of hearing on an individualized basis. Request interpreting/Speech to Text ServicesServices include: Interpreters, Speech-to-Text (CART, C-Print, etc.), Assistive Listening Devices [ALDs], faculty/staff training, resource/referral information, facilitation of educational advising, culture awareness training, access advocacy and student activities, programs and events.

For Classroom and Testing Accommodations

As a recipient of federal funding, Northern Essex Community College is required to provide auxiliary aids and services to qualified students with disabilities. The function of the Learning Accommodations Center is to determine the types of service and auxiliary aids appropriate as learning accommodations for students with adequately documented disabilities.
