TEAS/HOBET/LPN STEP Testing
Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET) and LPN STEP TESTING
Health Profession Testing Schedule:
Testing is offered each month in the morning, afternoon and evening at the Haverhill Campus and at the Lawrence Campus on a limited bases to provide ample opportunity for applicants to test and submit applications to Enrollment Services. Registration and payment for the TEAS, HOBET and LPN STEP test are done online. To view available testing dates, register and pay, do the following: go to www.atitesting.com.
To Register for TEAS:
Click on the “Register for TEAS” link.
To Register for HOBET:
Click “Shop Online”
Under Registration for, Click “HOBET”
To Register for LPN STEP:
Click “Shop Online”
Under Registration for, Click “LPN STEP” link
Choose State Massachusetts, Choose City Haverhill or Lawrence, Click Next, Choose a date for testing. Click Learn More for test session information and Click Register to sign up.
If you have an existing account, log-in to register and pay.
If you don’t have an existing account, create an ATI account with a username and password. Once you have created your account, you will need to sign in to register and pay for the test.
- The required test for Nursing is TEAS V and the college is Northern Essex CC ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing).
- The required test for Practical Nursing is TEAS V and the college is Northern Essex CC PN (Practical Nursing).
- The required test for Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care and Dental Assisting is HOBET and the college is Northern Essex CC AH (Allied Health).
- The required test for Advanced Placement Nursing is LPN STEP and the college is Northern Essex CC LPN STEP (LPN to Associate Degree in Nursing).
You will receive an email confirmation of your testing appointment. Bring this confirmation and your ATI Username and Password along with A photo ID (valid driver’s license or school ID with photo), on the date of testing.
Credit card payment is due online at the time of registration. The fee is $70 per test. Payment is NON REFUNDABLE so be sure that you have read the admissions packet thoroughly and that you are ready to test on the date scheduled.

How often can you take the TEAS/HOBET? An applicant may take the admission test two times (no earlier than a 6 month period) during an admission cycle. The most recent test results will be used for that admission cycle only. (ATI recommends that there be an interval of six months between the two tests. A student will not be blocked from registering prior to the six months; however, if the student attempts to take the test they will be locked out.)
