NECC Repeats as Region XXI Champions!
In an electrifying five game match, Northern Essex Community College Women's Volleyball team retains its top spot, repeating as the Region XXI champion! All five games were close and very hard fought: 28-30, 30-27, 30-25, 26-30 and 15-13.
Sophomore middle hitter Heather Fritz was solid on defense at the net with 15 blocks while sophomore outside hitter Amanda Jankowski was on fire putting down 15 kills. Sophomore setter Colleen Harrold put up an impressive 30 assists. Freshman Lauren Mears also made a huge contribution in the victory with 9 kills and 9 blocks.
The Knight's will be traveling to North Carolina for the District tournament to face the winner of Region X.
