Rain Cancels Final Day of NJCAA Division III Region XXI Baseball Tournament- NECC advances to Junior College World Series

The three games scheduled for Tuesday, the final day of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Region XXI Baseball Tournament at was cancelled due to rain and unplayable field conditions.

Second-seeded Northern Essex Community College (19-8 overall) was declared the NJCAA Division III Region XXI baseball champion and advances to the eight-team NJCAA Division III Baseball Championship May 20-26 in Glens Falls, N.Y.

Northern Essex Community College eliminated top-seeded Holyoke Community College 4-2 in the losers’ bracket game Monday and became the highest remaining seed entering Tuesday.
