Crime & Politics in Massachusetts: Sometimes One in the Same!

Presented by: Michele McPhee , Radio Show Host and Author
Sunday, September 12, 2010, 2 p.m.
White Fund Room, NECC
78-82 Amesbury St. (Louise Haffner Fournier Education Center), Lawrence, MA

Michele McPhee — the author of five true crime books — will discuss the personalities of murderers and politicians. As a reporter and columnist who has covered police and politics, she has theorized that quite often killers and elected officials have the same narcissistic streaks channeled in completely different ways. She will discuss her upcoming book, A Professor’s Rage, on the Amy Bishop case and take questions on the November elections.

Michele McPhee is a best-selling true crime author, the host of The Michele McPhee Show
on 96.9 FM WTKK Boston Talks, and a weekly commentator on Boston’s Fox 25. She is also a New England correspondent for ABC News and a contributing reporter to the Boston Herald, where she held the title of Police Bureau Chief for three years.

This event is part of the White Fund Enlightenment Series, a series of free cultural conversations offered by NECC.
