Jamele Adams: Interactive Poetry Slam

Join Jamele Adams for an interactive presentation on diversity. Inclusive of diversity-theory, poetry, and stratagems for creating safe spaces for social justice, you will explore “the beauty, balance and challenge of diversity.”

Jamele Adams is the associate dean of student life at Brandeis University, and oversees student activities, the Intercultural Center, Community Service and the Chaplaincy. He works with campus groups to promote and enhance opportunities to celebrate diversity in our daily lives at Brandeis. Adams remains very well known in the New York City area in slam poetry circles. Known as Harlym 125, he was a frequent and highly regarded figure in competitions in New York and beyond. Since coming to Brandeis, Jamele has become a part of the Boston area poetry scene and joined a team of poets who have won numerous competitions regionally and nationally.
