NECC to Offer New Sales and Marketing Classes
This fall, Northern Essex Community College will offer two new, non-credit, sales and marketing classes, “Social Media Marketing Strategies” and “Effectively Market and Sell Professional Services”. These courses will be held at NECC Riverwalk, 360 Merrimack Street, Building 9, Entrance K, Lawrence.
“Social Media Marketing Strategies”, a one-night workshop will be taught by Doreen Blades, online business owner and local and national speaker on social media. Blades will teach how to successfully promote and grow your business using “social media.” In this class you will discover what social media is and isn’t, explore the pros, cons, and privacy issues inherent with a social media presence, learn differences between sites and how to best use and build strategy for your business using Facebook, Linkedln, Twitter, and blogging. This course will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $51.
“Effectively Market and Sell Professional Services”, a two-night workshop, will be taught by David Maloney, MBA, sales professional with experience in sales, distributor channel management, marketing, and training. This course is designed for business professionals like consultants, software developers, photographers, health care and other service providers. Maloney will cover how to define your market, generate leads, establish your own “Unique Selling Proposition,” and prepare a focused sales presentation. This course will run on Tuesday Oct.19th and 26th from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The cost of the course is $85 plus a $17 material fee.
