Winter Convocation is January 19, 2016.
“The future of higher education in America—and the important roles that community colleges will play in it—is taking shape today. “
As business and community leaders, elected officials, and those aspiring to be elected share and debate ideas about college affordability, workforce development, and the evolving mission of public higher education on the statewide and national stage; here on campus, where teaching and learning happen every day, we have been engaged in a planning process designed to build on our strengths, and create the best possible future for our students and the communities we serve.
Last semester, more than 300 staff, faculty, and students participated in NECC’s strategic planning process by asking questions and telling stories to one another about experiences we have had with the college’s core values, ideas for new strategic directions and goals, and wishes we have for the college’s future.
The result of this great swirl of activity and inquiry is NECC 2020, a draft of NECC’s new strategic plan, designed to provide guidance to the college on some important decisions and initiatives over the next few years.
Please plan to join your campus colleagues at Spring Convocation on Tuesday, January 19 at 8:15 a.m. in Room TC103 of the Technology Building at the Haverhill Campus for NECC 2020.
In addition to introducing the draft of our new strategic plan, we will be welcoming some new faces to the college, congratulating our 2016 NISOD Award Winners, and more.
