In honor of Veterans Day 2012, there will be a 20 – 30 minute presentation followed by a viewing of the documentary “Hell and Back Again” by Danfung Dennis.

The veterans’ event will be held in the Hartleb Technology Center, Room 103B, on the Haverhill campus on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

“Hell and Back Again” is a 2012 Academy Award® Nominee for Best Documentary Feature and Winner of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and Cinematography Prize. Documentary footage was taken by Dennis Darfung in Afghanistan and afterward following one soldier’s journey from the war torn battlefield to transition to life after the war. Director Dennis offers a telling portrait of the horrors of the battlefield as well as the uncomfortable quiet of the home front. It was called “A breathlessly paced look at the realities of war” by the New York Post and “Vivid and Moving” by Entertainment Weekly. Read more about “Hell and Back Again”

Veterans Services Coordinator Jeff Williams will present information regarding veterans education benefits, compensation for service-connected disabilities, veterans health care and other topics.
