The Other Tradition and Two Men Meet- A Black History Month Presentation

Don Mullan and William H. “Smitty” Smith, Ed. D. present a stimulating lecture and media presentation that reaches the entire campus with the inspirational message of The Other Tradition.

The program which includes screening of the Two Men Meet segment from the public television documentary in production, An American Story: Race Amity and The Other Tradition. Two Men Meet is the powerful story of the meeting in Dublin Ireland of two of history’s greatest liberators and orators, the venerable leader of Catholic Emancipation in Ireland and Abolitionist, Daniel O’Connell, and self-emancipated former slave, and America’s most outspoken Abolitionist and first African-American Ambassador, Frederick Douglass.
