Established in 1980, the GURC at NECC addresses the educational, transition, and professional development needs of deaf and hard of hearing people from birth through adulthood, their families, and the professionals who work with them.

Shared Reading Saturday Program

[ January 8, 2011; 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. February 12, 2011; 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. March 12, 2011; 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. ] The Shared Reading Project (SRP) is designed to teach parents and caregivers how to read to their deaf and hard of hearing children using American Sign Language, and to use strategies to make book sharing most effective.
