Health Insurance Information
The Massachusetts Universal Health Insurance Law requires that every student enrolled in nine (9) or more credits to have adequate medical insurance coverage. If you have comparable health insurance, you may waive this charge by completing an online waiver (see below). The deadline for submitting this waiver is the due date of your bill. If you have not completed an online waiver by the due date of your bill, it will be assumed that you do not have your own health insurance and the insurance charge will remain on your account. Free Care Programs do NOT qualify for this waiver.

The following information is needed in order to complete the waiver form. Some of this information should be found on your current health insurance ID card:
- The Insurance Company Name
- Your Group Number
- Subscriber's Name (Name of Policyholder)
- Subscriber's Social Security Number
Important: The Online Waiver is the only accepted method to waive coverage
- From MYNECC on the NECC web site choose the Self Service Online link.
- Log on with your MYNECC ID and password, and log on as Student.
- From the main page, click on the Submit Health Insurance Waiver link.
- Fill out and submit the waiver.
If this is your first time using the system, your Password is your date of birth (mmddyyyy format). You will be prompted to change your Password after your first login.
