            Volume one includes general career guidance and an overview of the

            industries. Volumes two through four present job-specific information, including

            education and training requirements.

            Career Information Center.  Ref HF5382.5.U5 C32 2002 (ten volumes)

            Each volume covers an area of occupational interest. Includes job summaries, job profiles and resources for not only getting, but keeping, a job in a chosen career.

            Occupational Outlook Handbook.   Ref HF5381.A1 O36

The Department of Labor publishes this authoritative handbook of career guidance providing information on careers, educational requirements, typical duties, salaries and employment outlook. Also available online at http://www.bls.gov/oco/home.htm

Exploring Tech Careers.  Ref T 65.3.E95 2001 (two volumes)

This set includes all the standard information about a wide array of technical careers, and provides insight into what the jobs are really like through interviews with the technicians themselves.

Business Related Reference Books

This collection of more than three hundred entries presents a wealth of

information about the major functional areas of business: accounting, economics,

finance, information systems, law, management, and marketing.

Electronic Databases are available on campus and remotely for NECC students, faculty and staff using their NECC library card.   • Business Source Premier (EBSCOhost): Provides full text for more than 2,400 scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business and more.
  • Business Wire News (EBSCOhost): Full text newswire database that incorporates business wires from all over the world.
  • Business and Company Resource Center (InfoTrac): Contains company profiles, brand information, investment reports, company histories and more.
