Community Service 2012 Activities
Restoring Haverhill’s History – Saturday, April 14th, 2012 from 9am – 3pm
On Saturday, April 14th, 2012 from 9am – 3pm, 20 NECC students volunteered along with three faculty members to help repair and restore the property at John Greenleaf Whittier’s Birthplace off Route 110 in Haverhill. Tasks that day included: cleaning out the barn, groundwork (weed removal, raking), etc. Volunteers were given a tour of the museum and received a commemorative tee shirt, and water, lunch and snacks were provided.
