| Course Description | This course is a survey of the earth's political, social, cultural, and economic patterns and their relationship to the earth's physical features. The course will stress the location of nations and cities, rivers and seas, and it will examine the history and current political situation of each major area of the world. | Course Description |
This course examines the development of cities in a historical context, including urban settlement, structure, spatial patterns, problems and policies. It will focus on why cities are where they are, why they develop with the form that they have, what functions they serve and the hierarchy that exists between them.
