All entering students
are required to take a one hour Writing Sample Assessment
test in order to determine appropriate placement in our
freshmen composition program. A student may be advised
to begin with English Composition I, Basic Writing, or
English As a Second Language, depending upon his or her
skills and fluency. Assessment recommendations are mandatory
for most programs. To arrange for placement testing,
visit our Assessment Centers located in Spurk C208 on
the Haverhill campus, and L200 on the Lawrence
