Help for Students Taking Distance Education Courses

How do I get a library card?
Students taking distance courses at NECC can register for a library card and PIN by going to the Library link on their WebCT course page. You can also select "Request a library card number" on the library's home page.

How do I find out if NECC owns a book?
Go to the Library website and you will see a searchbox under "Find Books." Enter your search terms and you are on your way!

How do I request a book?
After you have found the book in the catalog, click the request button near the top of the screen. You will be asked for your library card number, your PIN, and a pickup location.

How long is the checkout period?
The checkout period for NECC is three weeks, and you can renew a book twice, for a total of nine weeks, unless another patron has requested the book.

Can I use my library card or request books at other libraries?
Yes. Your NECC card is valid at any NOBLE library and any library in the Massachusetts state college system.

What if I've lost my library card or PIN?
