NECC Foundation, Inc.
The Northern Essex Community College Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established to provide support and expanded opportunities for the College. Incorporated in 1972, the Foundation assists the college by making connections with the business community, Foundations and other potential revenue sources and by hosting a variety of fundraising special events. Funds raised are used for: student scholarships; equipment purchases; program revitalization; faculty and staff development and other needs as they arise and are approved by the Foundation Board of Directors.
In the past, scholarship funds have been raised by the Foundation bringing Keith Lockhart and The Beacon Brass Quintet, Loretta LaRoche, Charlie Thomas and The Drifters and others to the college for the pleasure of residents of the Merrimack Valley.
The Foundation Board of Directors meets quarterly and operates on a June to July fiscal year basis. Foundation Board members are appointed to multi-year terms.
