Refund Policy and Dates for Credit Courses

The refund policy for credit courses at NECC will allow a 100% refund of tuition and fees for a specific range of dates which is governed by the start date of each course. After the end of each 100% refund period, no other refunds will be granted. Please read carefully, below, where the date ranges are explained. NOTE: There will be no refunds granted after the 100% period.

January Intersession Refund Dates

The January Intersession begins on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

Lecture Courses: To receive a 100% refund, you must drop the intersession class before 6:00pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

Online courses: To receive a 100 % refund, you must drop the intersession class before 6:00pm Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
 

Spring 2017: 100% Refund Dates for regular spring term

If your course begins the week starting January 18, 2017
You must drop the course before: 6:00pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2017

If your course begins the week starting February 1, 2017
You must drop the course before: 6:00pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2017

If your course begins the week starting March 20, 2017
You must drop the course before: 4:30pm on Friday, March 24, 2017

The only refunds granted will be the 100% refunds based on the above dates.

Classes must be officially dropped with Enrollment Services either in person or by calling 978-556-3700 during office hours within the stated refund periods.

Payments made ONLINE by credit card will be refunded to the credit card. Other refunds, regardless of original payment method, are automatically issued by check and mailed to the student; unless the student has enrolled for eRefunds.

Be sure to keep a record of the course drop confirmation number, for future reference. Make sure the College has your most current mailing address on file. Questions? Call 978-556-3900

Fall 2016: 100% Refund Dates

Full Semester Classes: starting week of September 7, 2016
You must drop the class before: 6:00pm on September 14, 2016

Eight week Classes: Starting week of September 7, 2016
You must drop the class before: 6:00pm on September 14, 2016

Thirteen week Classes: starting week of September 21, 2016
You must drop the class before: 6:00pm on September 26, 2016

Eight week Classes: starting week of October 29, 2016
You must drop the class before: 6:00pm on November 3, 2016

iHealth Session II

11 Weeks
May 23—August 5

SUMMER SESSION III

8 Weeks
June 20-August 11

How will I receive my refund?

Payments made by credit card ONLINE will be refunded to the credit card used for payment. Payments made by ACH will  go back to your bank account if you have set up ACH as a refund account. Otherwise, refunds are automatically issued by check, regardless of method of payment,  and  mailed to your home address on file.
