The Learning Accommodations Center determines the types of learning accommodations that provide equal access for students with adequately documented disabilities including students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing on a case-by-case, course-by-course, semester-by-semester basis.

Services Offered:

  • Classroom and environmental modifications (testing accommodations, alternative format materials, preferential seating and others)
  • Assistive Technology (books on tape, special computer software, and other devices) and training
  • Paraprofessional Accommodation Assistants (scribes and accommodation assistants). Contact the Learning Accommodations Center at:

General Information about the Learning Accommodations Center

  • Provides equal access for students with documented disabilities and who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Provides contacts at both the Haverhill and Lawrence Campuses
  • Services students enrolled in credit and noncredit courses
  • Offers consultation and training to staff, faculty, administrators, students and the community about the College's legal obligations under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 1990, Title II.
