The Grant Resource Center at Northern Essex Community College
The Grant Resource Center at NECC offers access to The Foundation Center’s “Foundation Directory Online” database. The center also has a limited number of books and other resources available to help grant-seekers successfully locate funding sources. (Please note that as of January 1, 2013, we no longer provide access to “The Associated Grant Makers Directory”).
As space and access at the center is limited, please call ahead (978-738-7400) so that we can reserve a place for you to work. Once you arrive and sign in, a librarian will assign you to a computer and log you into either or both of the databases. If you are unfamiliar with the resources, you may schedule an appointment with Mike Hearn, Coordinator of the NECC Lawrence Campus Library (978-738-7400 or mhearn@necc.mass.edu). One of the professional librarians will spend 15-30 minutes with you, introducing you to the databases and other resources that are available. Printing is available at the center at a cost of 10¢ per page, payable by cash or check.
The center does not offer assistance with grantwriting or grant administration. We only provide access to the information.
NECC does offer several grantwriting workshops throughout the year.
For information about these workshops, or to register for them, please contact Associate Dean Dawna Perez, at 978-738-7605.
The Grant Resource Center is typically open during the following times. Exceptions are made for holidays and academic semester breaks.
- Monday – Thursday: 9am – 8pm
- Friday: 9am – 3pm
- Saturday: 9am – 1pm
