Health Programs Information Night at NECC

If you have ever given any thought to a career in the health field, but didn’t know where to begin, then plan on attending a health programs information night at Northern Essex Community College on Thursday, June 28, at 6 p.m. in the iHealth Building, 52 Franklin St., Lawrence.

The evening, which is free and open to the public, is designed for individuals to learn about the health programs offered at Northern Essex including a review of the programs that still have openings for the fall of 2012. Attendees will learn about career pathways in the health care industry, tour the new iHealth facility, and explore on campus and online health programs.

Northern Essex offers a number of health care programs including associate degrees in nursing radiologic technology, respiratory care, paramedic technology, business management with a healthcare studies option and general studies with an physical education, exercise sciences and sports studies option. It also offers certificates in Computed Tomography, Dental Assisting, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing, Medical Coding, Medical Office Assistant, Paramedic (EMT-P) Technology, Phlebotomy, Practical Nursing (PN), and Sleep Technology.

Additional programs are offered through iHealth, an NECC initiative offering affordable health training, flexible scheduling, and fast completion of a variety of health career programs. The iHealth@NECC curriculum is streamlined for efficiency and offers tremendous flexibility to build a schedule that fits each student’s needs by offering a blend of online courses with traditional classes taken at the school.
