NECC Chorus Presents Holiday Show

Holiday music from the 1500 to the present will be the centerpiece of the Northern Essex Community College chorus holiday showcase on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. in the David Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St. Admission is $5. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

“The chorus’s repertoire includes a 600-year span,” says Alisa Bucchiere, NECC chorus director. “You can expect to hear everything from George Friedrich Handel to Irving Berlin.”

In addition, the chorus will perform a spiritual by William Dawson and an arrangement from the King Singers.

Soloists this year include James Clark, Jr. of Methuen who will perform “Corner of the Sky” from “Pippin” and Jenny Weiss of Amesbury who will perform an aria from Handel’s “Messiah”
