NECC Announces Online Courses and Programs for the Fall

This fall semester, which begins September 9, Northern Essex Community College will offer 18 associate degree or certificate programs fully or almost fully (80*) online as well as 160 courses that are offered fully online or as a hybrid combining online learning with a traditional classroom experience.

Programs offered online include business, computer information systems, sleep technology, criminal justice, liberal arts, web design, and more.  And online courses range from accounting to technical writing to forensic science.

Northern Essex has been offering online courses and programs for the past 17 years, according to Melba Acevedo, director, Instructional Technology & Online Learning, and their popularity grows each year.

“Eighty-three percent of our students work full time or part time while in college,” said Acevedo.  “Online options give them flexibility.”
