Laboratory Technology is just one of the careers to explore during NECC’s Health & Science Open House, November 2.

Learn about the health and science programs offered at Northern Essex Community College and get a tour of the Dr. Ibrahim El-Hefni Allied Health and Technology Center, at 414 Common St., Lawrence during a Health & Science Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2.

This open house is free and open to the public.

Attendees can expect to learn about the following programs: Applied Science (Laboratory Science) Associate Degree; Health Care Technician (phlebotomy and EKG) certificate; Medical Laboratory Technology associate degree; and Medical Assistant certificate.

NECC faculty will be present to discuss the various programs, hand out program literature, and outline course requirements. Current medical lab technician and health care technician students will be on hand to discuss the current job market as well as give tours of the state-of-the-art labs.

This allows NECC to prepare hundreds more local residents for high demand careers. The iHealth@NECC curriculum is streamlined for efficiency.
