Submitted by on November 13, 2018 – 2:40 pm

Violinist Daniel Kurganov will perform with the Essex Chamber Music Players on Sunday, Nov. 18.

Essex Chamber Music Players (ECMP) will present its first concert of the 2018-2019 season on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus of Northern Essex Community College, 100 Elliott St.

The program features the classic work of Brahm’s “Piano Trio in B minor” and includes “December Celebration,” by Elaine Erickson, Rachmaninoff’s “Ne poj, krasavitsa, Op. 4, No. 4” (Sing not, fair maiden) and the premier of “Pangs of Memory, Fallen Snow” by Robin L. Øye.

Performers include pianist Constantine Finehouse, violinist Daniel Kurganov, cellist Mickey Katz of the Boston Symphony, and flutist Michael Finegold, artistic director and founder of ECMP.

“The works by Øye and Erickson relate to winter and season cheer,” said Finegold. “The Rachmaninoff and Brahms are classical favorites. The audience will enjoy the program.”

Tickets are $15 for general admission. NECC students are free with an NECC ID, and children 9 to 16 are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at mktix.com/ecmp.

The Essex Chamber Music Players is in residence at Northern Essex.
