End-of-Life Care: Hospice Volunteer
Your gift is your presence. Become a Hospice Volunteer! Beacon Hospice is offering a comprehensive training of seven weeks to help prepare interested individuals to become Hospice volunteers. The Beacon Hospice approach to care creates a patient and family environment of hope, comfort and dignity. Volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and supported by other members of the patient care team. No matter who you are you've got something to offer hospice patients. Throughout the training volunteers will be introduced to other team members; social worker, Chaplain, bereavement coordinator, nursing staff who will all contribute to the understanding of hospice and its approach to healthcare. Join us now and make a profound difference in someone's life whether it is a 15 minute visit, writing letters, playing music, office work or just sitting quietly holding a patient's hand. Persons who complete the training will receive an ID badge, Beacon Hospice jacket and, most of all, the opportunity to serve others. Class held at Beacon Hospice, 350 Main Street, Haverhill, MA
