Supply Chain Management Certificate

Business leaders in today's global environment recognize that Supply Chain Logistics is a critical function impacting all disciplines including finance,  marketing, and production.  21st Century supply chain logistics moves beyond the traditional "cost center" approach to a "value add" view.  In fact supply chain logistics is often the competitive edge in gaining market share and improving profitability.  As with most business functions the goal is saving time and money.


 

Logistics and Transportation

In this workshop you will learn how to plan, organize and implement logistics programs and effectively measure progress.  These skills used in day to day logistics include terminology, documentation, rate calculation, and service support.  Instructor: Mitchell Kostoulakos, MBA, CTL, LCHB, extensive experience in international logistics and transportation, consulting, training, sales & operations management

Procurement

This module will examine the procurement process and its impact in the Supply Chain model.  Other topics discussed will include duties of a purchasing agent, procurement strategies, supplier selection, contracts, purchasing trends, ethics, and make vs buy decisions.  Instructor: John Bell, MBA has worked in the defense & commercial arenas with large and small companies.  His experience covers a wide variety of SCM topics such as Procurement, Material control, Quality and Operations

Quality

Looks at the development of quality process and its effect on the supply chain.  Other areas reviewed will include TQM, lean manufacturing, benchmarking, cost of quality and perceptions of quality.  Instructor: John Bell
