Family Discovery Walks
Explore beautiful Veasey Park – and meet birds, bugs, flowers, frogs, minerals, mushrooms & more! More than just a nature walk, this program blends an interactive discovery hike with hands-on science class – creating a unique family experience that is both educational and fun!!! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age 8. For additional siblings $8 fee.

You will learn while handling museum quality artifacts and natural history specimens, meeting live animals, peering into the micro-world, participating in interactive demonstrations. Discover the incredible diversity of life on earth and the adaptations that allow plants and animals to survive – and thrive - in different environments around the world.

Journey back in time to discover our region’s geologic story over the past 500 million years. Examine rocks, fossils, and living animals that provide clues to ancient oceans, erupting volcanoes, missing mountains, and more. Learn what New England looked like, who lived here and how we know.
